[Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] SYDNEY, February 8. Lindrum, 3,123 (including breaks of 388, 756); McConachy,' 1,934 (including breaks of 195, 137). LONDON, February 8. The Billiards Association states that the world championship will not be contested in 1938, owing to Davis being the only entry. It adds that the Lindrum and McConachy match cannot be regarded as being in the world championship. Davis, playing the ex-amateur, Sydney Lee, in the semi-final of the United Kingdom billiards championship, made a break of 1,103 in forty minutes, in the first four-figure break of the season. The score at present is:—Davis 5,264; Lee 1,760.
