The weather report and forecast are as follows: — General situation: Pressure has risen over the Dominion, but it is still relatively low in the south, where a series of very slight secondary depressions is passing. An anticyclone of slight. intensity covers south-eastern Australia. Forecast: Winds north-westerly at times in the eastern districts; otherwise, west to south-west winds pre dominating, the force being mainly light to moderate.. . Seas in New Zealand waters rathe i rough at times in Cook and Foveaux Straits; otherwise, slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate west to south winds; slight to moderate seas. - Weather: A few isolated local showers in the western and far south ern districts of the South Island, but the weather is otherwise fine, with moderate to warm temperatures.
