TOur Own Correspondent]. Miss Ada Hocking, who underwent an operation at Lewisham Hospital (Christchurch), last week, is making satisfactory progress. Mr and Mrs D. Douglas, who have been visiting the North Island, have returned. Mr E. J. Fitzgerald left on Monday . for Christchurch, where his brother I Mr W. Fitzgerald is seriously ill. Cricket fixtures for the coming week-end are:—Dominion v. Waiuta at Waiuta; Reef ton v. Blackwater, at j Blackwater; Nelson Creek v. Ahaura, 1 at Ahaura. ' Mr T. Marks, senr., who has been q visiting here, left on return to ’ Christchurch by Tuesday morning’s express. Mr and Mrs Len. White, who have been visiting Auckland, have returned.
