STRIKE ENDS
AT ONEHUNGA WOOLLEN MILLS. [Per Press Association], AUCKLAND, December 13. The Onehunga woollen mills are in full swing again after a week’s idleness. Over a hundred employees struck last Monday in sympathy with the claims of girl weavers for an adjustment of a number of grievances. This morning, work was begun at the usual hour. The terms of settlement are not yet known. An announcement was made by the Auckland Employers’ Association that the employers were prepared to meet representatives of the workers in conference when the employees returned to work. The association stated that as the workers’ legitimate demands await settlement in the Arbitration Court the employers could neither condone their breach of law in striking by negotiating while the strike continues, nor allow the principles of master and servant in.contrdcts of service to be nullified. The employers reaffirm that always they have been pleased to deal by constiI lutional means with any complaints oy the workers. 1
