FILM MAN’S OFFENCE
ILLEGAL USE OF RADIO SCRIPT.
[Aus &- N.Z. Cable Assn.] HOLLYWOOD, October 30. The Court convicted Groucho Marx for illegally using a radio script, holdjn°- that it was a criminal infringement, for which the maximum penalty was a year’s imprisonment and a fine of one thousand dollars. He will be sentenced on November 1. _
Groucho Marx, after giving evidence, attempted to introduce a dash of Marxian humour. He said: “Why Judge, we never stole anything. We pay and pay.” The Judge sharply interrupted: “That will be. enough!”
