"ARGUS" MACHINE FUND
APPEAL TO WORKERS. The Grey Labour Paper Board, in our advertising columns, desires an appeal for new machinery for the “Argus” Company. Our machinery has done wonderful work up to date,’ but it is imperative that we have a larger machine, and since the “Argus" is a workers’ the only ones we can appeal to he owners. For eighteen years, th paper has fought the fight of the workers of the West Coast and of New Zealand. Our political enemies said we could not run a newspaper. After eighteen years, we are still doing so, and showing profits. Yet we want to improve. A new machine will mean twelve to sixteen pages published daily. Why not? If the workers in whose interests the paper is published will help, we can have our new machine this year! And the Paper Board confidently calls on all individuals and Unions throughout the West Coast, Io support this appeal. All donations will be acknowledged in the columns of the “Argugj”
