JERUSALEM, September 15. In disobedience of the regulations, and evading police searchers who anticipated the happening, a Jewish youth blew the “Day of Atonement’’ on a ram’s horn at prayers at the Wailing Wall, during the three minutes’ silence for the Muezzin’s call from the minaret. The worshippers were overjoyed, but the police surrounded and arrested the offender.
JEWS IN GERMANY. BERLIN, September 15. Recalling the mediaeval edict compelling Jews to wear a distinguishing yellow garb, two benches, painted yellow, have been erected in Kurfuerstendamm, Berlin’s most fashionable street.
