G-men are investigating a lettei, composed of words clipped from magazines, threatening to kidnap the actor, Wallace Beery’s six-year-old adopted daughter, Carolanne, if ten thousand dollars are not paid before Thursday. The child is heavily guarded at Beery’s home, and Beery is hurrying home from Utah, where he has been on location.
