BASKETBALL

DOMINION TOURNAMENT. WEST COAST TEAM. The West Coast Basketball representatives to take part in the Dominion Tournament at Auckaind next week leave by this morning’s express for Christchurch, leaving there tonight by boat for Wellington, rhe team will leave Wellington on Sunday afternoon by the special express conveying all South Island teams. The Tournament opens on Wednesday, and continues till Saturday next, the teams playing two matches each day. The New Zealand Council will hold a conference during the tournament, and the West Coast Association will be represented by Miss M. E. Ray who will also act as manager of the team.

Members of the team are: Forwards. Misses M. McGuire, E. Dowling, M. Grogan, P. Smith; Centres: Misses B. Tennent (Capt), J. Greenhill, C. Close, P. Parry; Defenders: Misses E. Rohloff (Vice-Capt), B. Greenhill, E. Armstrong K. Patterson. The team will return to Greymouth on Tuesday September 7.
