MINERS’ COUNCIL
BALLOT FOR NATIONAL DELEGATE. MR. W. PENDLEBURY ELECTED. The resillts of the recent ballot for the National Council delegate from the Grey Miners’ Central Committee were announced last evening by the Returning Officer, Mr R. Clark, of Blackball. There were three candidates for the position, Messrs H. Johnson (Runanga), T. Miller (Wallsend) and W. Pendlebury (Runanga). Mr Pendle- t bury was the successful candidate with 265 votes, Mr Johnson receiving 247 votes, and Mr Miller 89 votes. The voting was as follows: — Roa Miners' Union. H. Johnson 26 T. Miller 6 W.
