FATAL HOTEL FIRE
Man Burned to Death fifteen escape. I Per Press Association]. THAMES, August 14. Albert Fisher, aged fifty-seven, a married man, was burned to death in a fire at the Salutation Hotel, early this morning. Fisher was evidently overcome by the dense smoke He worked for many years in mines at Thames and lived until recently at Tararu. . ~ Sixteen people were asleep m the hotel at the time and all but Fisher eS The building was owned by Mr. F. A. Lacassie. The licensee is Mr. W. The hotel was erected over sixty years ago.
