Change Proposed TO MAKE IT EQUITABLE. [Per Press Association], WELLINGTON, August 9. Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage said to-day that the Government intended to deal with taxation without delay, and was anxious to see that taxation is equitable. He added that the incidence of taxation would have to be changed so as to make it' equitable. The report of the special committee on this subject was almost ready. Mr Savage also intimated that the. Budget preparation is well forward, although" Hon. W. Nash would have to examine it to see what taxation would be necessary. Mr Savage stated that Parliament would be prorogued from next Thursday till September 2.
