SAVINGS FOR RAIL TRIPS. 5 PER CENT. INTEREST. As a further inducement to the public to save up for railway trips, the General Manager (Mr G. H. Mackley) announces a decision to grant interest at five pei’ cent, on vouchers to the value of 10/- or multiples of 10/-. These vouchers may be obtained in exchange for the travel stamps issued at railway stations or may be bought for cash. Interest accrues from the date of issue of a voucher, but does not continue after the expiration of twelve months, if the voucher is not used for the purchase of a railway ticket within that period.
