Sanders said that, taking into consideration the dates ”f the 'Springboks tour in the South Island, there was hardly a day avail, able for provincial finals. Because of the English tour and’ the paucity of entries, he wa< of the opinion that the competition should be suspended. R could be taken as an indication that the teams did not want the competition. Mr. Sanders said that at> -th e next annual meeting, the question of niles for the Chatham Cup could be gone into. • It was agreed to return the entry fees Iq Clubs.
