RETAILERS COMPROMISE. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 2. The deadlock over -oranges has ended, as the result of negotiations between tihe Cook . Island Department and the Retail Fruiter*-* The Gov. ernment has agreed t the price by Is a case. This makes the pdi.ee from 13s to 20s according to i count. Th e amended price- has been accepted by the Retail Association and oranges will now be available to the public at from four to six a shilling.
