(Our Own Correspondent). Buller Medical Association: WESTPORT, April 26

The usual weekly meeting of the Executive Committee of the Buller Medical Association was held dur ng the week-end in the Town Hall, Mr RH'gman presiding. The secretary of the Buller Hospital Board advised that the uequest that the age limit for children of members to whom hospital benefits could be extended would not bo ra’sed from 15 to 16 years- . The intimation occasioned a ’long discussion, and it was decided to write the Denniston, Karamea and Millerton associations' ask ng for informaton in connection with the matter. The question of pitompt payment of subscriptions was discussed, and it was agreed that any member not financial by the first Saturday of any month would be held liable for any debt incurred for medicines or medical treatment. Ine member’s name would al<o be struck oil the books of the association. Tiroroa. had the" wind in the'r favour in the opening half ami made great efforts Io score, but timely tackling by the defence kept them out, and the teamcrossed over without a score being registered. Old Boys Win at Millerton: Rangers (Millerton) played their find game of the season on Saturday, when they were defeated on tlie'r own ground by Old Boys (Westport) by 9 points to nil. to the Theatre Royal, where the cotnmemortition service was held under the auspices of the Musters’ Association and R-S-A- The Mayor, Mr JKilkenny, presided- The hymn, “O God, Our Help in Ages Past,” was •sung by the congregation, led by the Municipal Band under the baton of Mr Mara- The main address was delivered by Rev N- P- Larsen. The hymn “Abide With Me” was sung at the conclus'on of the service, followed by the Benediction pronounced by Rev Canon Bloyce- Tho procession then marched to the Memorial Gatos, where a brief service was conductedWreaths were placed at the gates, and thrice volleys by the firing party and the “Last Post” by Bugler. Phipps concluded an impressive ceremony.
