Cable Assn 5 (Received April 26. 8 5 p.m.) TOKIO, April 26Tin' paper “C'hugai Shogyo” says: There is an acute shortage of shipping wl.ieh with soaring shipping rates, is seriously hampering the importation to Japan of her raw materal requirements. These requirements have been swollen by a quasi-wartime munitions programme. It is estimated that-Japan's 1937 import requirements will include the following: Wool, 809,000 bales; pig iron. 400 000 tons; scrap iron. 1,200,000 tons; iron ore 1,700,000 tons; cotton, 4000 bales.
