Even amateur poultry-keepers are killing fowls, as food is unobtainable. The cotton shortage produced a decree ordering its replacement by synthetic wool made from cellulose, which,. if not previously laundered before being worn next the skin causes a rash. It also requires care in washing, as it rips when wet. SIMLA, April 23. Fourteen persons were killed and fortv-two were wounded during riots at Behror. The police were compelled to fire on the mob.
