Friendship Restored AUSTRIA’S INDEPENDENT .LINE. (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received April 23. 11.55 p.m.) VENICE, April 22. There has been a conference here between Dr. Kurt Von Schuschnigg (Austrian Chancellor) and S’.gnor Mus. sobni. It was adojurned until the morning, after being in progress for four houis.

Dr. Schuschnigg indicated thaf Austria had no intention of joining any European group, but was steering equally clear of any Italo-German alliance. or any counter alliance against Italy and Germany. Austria was determined to live on good terms with Italy, with Germany, and with Jugoslavia. It was generally agreed thnt recent misunderstandings, including a football disturbance on March 21st, should be overlooked, and that ItalianAustrian friendship should be restored.
