DOINGS IN GERMANY. DEPARTURE FOR RUSSIA(Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn ) LONDON, April 22The Berlin correspondent of the Australian Associated press says: On the) eve of his visit to Moscow, Mr Nash revealed that he spent Monday and Tuesday in discussions with the Foreign Office on a trade agreement. Mr Nash, in an interview, said: “A tentative agreement reached will probably be finalised before I leave London in June- The main object is to increase the two-way trade. If the plan succeeds,, trade should at least be doubled- The agreement in principle closely resembles the German-Canad-ian agreement, but there are stronger safeguards for New Zealand. Pro vision is made to prevent any appreciable trade balance arising m favour of either side.’’
Mr Nash had a long interview with a representative of the largest German buyer) of New Zealand wool. Ho also interviewed the director of the German Dyestuffs Corporation. The New before thendeparture for Moscow, were entertained by representatives of the German Ministries at a dinner at the Hotel Kaiserhof.
