Mr Nash, in an interview, said: “A tentative agreement reached will probably be finalised before I leave London in June- The main object is to increase the two-way trade. If the plan succeeds,, trade should at least be doubled- The agreement in principle closely resembles the German-Canad-ian agreement, but there are stronger safeguards for New Zealand. Pro vision is made to prevent any appreciable trade balance arising m favour of either side.’’
