DUNEDIN EMPLOYERS. REPUDIATE CRITICISM. DUNEDIN, April 22. At a meeting of employers of wharf labour, every member expressed a desire to dissociate himself from the opinion published regarding local waterside workers.. While t'he position was not as satisfactory as could be de. sired, it wa s agreed the work was ear. ried out at this port in a manner not excelled,' if equalled, at any port in New Zealand. It was stated that! it was not a fact tuat the good workers were outnumbered by those desirous of working as little as possible. The adverse criticism of the water. sider s resulted in considerable difficulty on the parf, of the union, in persuading the men to work yesterday.
