MINIATURE SEASON OPENS. The Grey Miniature Rifle Club opened the, season at the new range in Mawhera Quay/ with the President v. Vice-president’s match. Some firstclass shooting, was registered. S. Sharman was top scorer with a fine possible, the first to be registered on the new range. • The result was a draw, each team scoring 814. The following were the> scores:—

President’s team: President J. Efford 74, J. Cowie 77, R. Simmers 76, A. Robertson 76, F. Molloy 76, J. Seorgie jun., 75, R. Ellery 75, M. Ellery 74, J. Phillips 72, W.- Bailey 70, D. Blocksage 69; total 814. Vice-president’s team: Vice-presi-dent T. Nankervill 74, S. Sharman 80, C. Richardson 79,' S. Davy 77, E. R. Moss 75, M. Garth 73 J. Seorgie, jun., 73, F. Williams 73, L.
