(Our Own Correspondent-) Westport’s Share of Nuffield Gift: WESTPORT, March 26. The Mayor (Mr J. Kilkenny) ad, vises -that Westport’s share of Lord NuffieM’s gift to the West Coast towns, amounts to £.239 12s Id. The Relief Committee, Rev. Canon J. W. Bloeve,, Messrs E. R. Fox and F. ’ O’Gorman will act with' t : he Mayor in the distribution of ‘lie grant. The Committee are conversant with the needs of. the district, having acted in a similar' capacity during Ihe depression. Bowling: Tw|o rinks from Westport Bowling C'lu-b comprising J. W. Stowell, .1. Watson, F. Knight, E. Lee (skip), and E. Skilton, R. Wilson, E. Chapman and PA Struthers (skip) are taking part in the Christchurch Centre’s East, er bowling tournament. S'ix rinks from -the Buller Centre (Denniston two,, Millerton tiwo, Gianity R.S.A. 1, and Westport 1),. are visiting Marl, boilaug’h tournament. The Westport rink is F. H. Morgan, B. Gilbert, -W. Har.t and H. Levy.

Accident at Bull|er Gorge: A young man, George Swan, suffer, -ed a rather severe injury tjo his foot as a result of an axe, which he was using, slipping whilst following his employment on the Buller Gorge Railway elonstruction work.
