U.S.A. OFFICIALS BREAK UP RING (Received March 7. 7 p.m.) NEW YORK, March 6. Opium valued at 300,000 dollars has been seized in one of the largest customs raids here. There were 600 tins removed from the freighter Taybank on her arrival from Shanghai. Seven men were arrested. • Officials declare that they finally succeeded in breaking up an important international smuggling ring.
