HOKITIKA, March 3. At the Plunket Society’s monthly meeting, Nurse Turner’s report show, ed a busy month, with visits to homes, visits to rooms and new babies. The donation box has been generously re. cognised during the holiday seasoin, an indication that the rooms are a con. venience to the travelling public. It was suggested that holider s of donation tins return them to the rooms before .the end of March. The fishing launch. “Bondi” yesterday secured a good catch, Including 20 groper, (ho conditions being very fav. ou ruble,.
At the Women’s Institute monthly meeting, the attendance was good, and there were five entries for a competition, “a knitted baby singlet” resulting; Mr s Ashley 1; Mrs Collett 2. The garments will be handed to the depot. A 'pianoforte solo was 'rendered, by Mrs R. Jordon. Nominations were received for the annual meeting t 0 be held .on April Sth, and for the West Coast Federation Committee aind President. Suggestions ifor next year’s programme, proved a very popular roll call and a long list will be a great assistance to the committee.
