A far-reaching decision was made at n meeting attended by the representatives of the seventy dairy companies r»i-day, when it was resolved' to recommend the Directorates of the companies in the North to take part in the formation of a Northland Cooperative Fertiliser Company, with works at Kaoreroa. the deep water port of Whangarei; the capital of the company to be £225,000, of Avhich £105,000 is to be subscribed by the dairy companies over a period of five years. The various Directorates were urged to take steps at the earliest moment to obtain power for thei r companies to take shares in the proposed \ company if they do not now possess the, nower.
