The cllo-ring day for .the 1936 season was’ hfeilcl on Saturday, when a four-ball bogey was played over nine hole's. This competition was won by W. Me'drum. and A. F. Hill with a score of 1 up. The driving and putting competitions. were won by G. S. Hay and A- F. Hill respectively. TrophicAvon during the seabo.n were presented by the club president, Mr W. Mcldrum who, in a .short speieoh, congratulated the Avinners. The club captain, Mr E. Wames, endorsed the president’s remarks, and referred to the great future possibilities. of the club. Following were the Wjiinners of the various trophies:—
Senior championship, P. Warnes; runnler-up, W. Melflrum. Intermediate cha.nini.o.nship; E. Warncs; runner-up, A. B. Bar rd. Junior championship, E. A. Eagan; runner-up, S. A. N. Sullivan. Orkney Cup, Dr. IT. S. Ray. Ka.'ata Cup, IL Howes. John Burns Cup. Dr. H. S. Ray. Thorpy Cup (best, grass score). P. Warncs. Hole-in-one Cup, A. F. Hill.
The ladies’ trophies were presented by the captain of the- Ladies’ <Tub. Mrs Allan Smith, as follows; Senior championship, Miss N. Tenn ent; run-ner-up. Mrs J. W. Hannan. Jun’or ehampionUPp. Mrs W.
