LADIES’ INTER-ISLAND MATCH. EASY WIN FOR SOUTH. (Per Press Association). DUNEDIN. October 22. The inter-island teams match, the first, event, on the programme of the Dominion ladies’ golf championships, was played at Balmacewen to-day, the South Island team winning by the comfortable margin of seven matches to one. Results were: Miss J. Horwell (Christchurch) Beat Miss M. Stevens (North Shore) 3 and 1; Miss V. Fleming (Christchurch) beat Miss J. Hornabrook (Masterton) 4 and 2. Miss J. Betts (Nelson) beat Miss D. Petrie (Miramar) 8 and 7; Miss M. Beadel (Christchurch) beat Miss A. Ormond (Napier), 1 up; Miss J. Stevenson (Christchurch) lost to Mrs D. Young (Wanganui) 7 and 5; Mrs A. C. MeKillop (Christchurch) beat Miss C. Wilson (Masterton) 4 and 3; Mrs. W; D. McCarthy (Otago) beat Miss Wheeler (Wellington) 6-and 5; Miss B.
