The death has occurred at Christchurch of Mr William Graham Jamieson, at the age of 75. He was head of J. and W. Jamieson. Ltd., contractors He was horn in Scotland and came to New Zealand with his parents as an infant.

Mr D. A. Morland, the young Greymouth cyclist left yesterday for New Plymouth to compete in the Bound-tho-Mountain road cycling race to-mor-row. Another competitor will be D. Johnston, Of Christchurch, who raced in Grevmoiith last season, off a similar mark to Morland.
Messrs E. H. B. Green (P. and T. Department) and J. W. Pound (Treasury Department) arrived from Christchurch by yesterday’s express.. Their visit to Grevmouth is in connection with the valuation of "P” Class radio stations being undertaken in connection with the Government’s recent broadcasting legislation.
The death took place, yesterday morning at the residence of his son, Mr W. G. Frost. Wilton Boad, of Mr Markus Edward Frost, a native of Nelson, and 85 years of age. Deceased, who had resided with his son for the past 12 mSths, had previously lived in Nelson. He is survived by his son and one daughter, .Mrs Linton, of Nelson.
The death has occurred of Mr. T. J L. Bautin, M.A.. for many years n master of the Otago Boys’ Hign School. He commenced his degree study at Canterbury College, nnd completed it in Dunedin, taking honotns in history. He was appointed to the staff of'the Otago Boys’ High School in February, 1920, and remained rheie until April of this year.
Mr James McDermott (representative of the P. and T. Department) who is chairman; Mr 11. McK. Miller (Public Works Department), Dlr J. B. Smith (of the National Broadcasting Service) and Mr W. A. Waters (representative of electrical supply and electrical tramway authorities throughout the Dominion) have been appointed members of the Badio Interference Advisory Committee, according to a Gazette notice to-night.—Press Assn.

New* Zealand women in many country townships to-day are preparing to meet a visitor whose name is known and honoured wherever the Women’s Institute movement has sewn its seed and reaped its harvest of frinedly cooperation among country women. She is Mrs Alfred Watt, M.A., 0.8. E., President of the Associated Country Women of the world, who in June last presided over 7000 delegates at a conference held in Washington, and who is now accepting the invitation of the New Zealand Women’s Institutes to include the Dominion in her tour. She Will be the honoured guest of the West Coast Federation on November 19 and 20. Travelling with Mrs Matt is Miss Betty Smart, of Canada, who is keenly interested in the activities of girls and especially in hostel and camping experiences.
