The citizens of Terre Haute hurled eggs at Air Browder, the Communist candidate for the Presidency (who ns cabled on September 30. was at Terre Haute arrested with companions, a vagrancy charge being preferred against them, but they were later released, and the action of the Alayor of Terre Haute was condemned). The pelting with eggs prevented Mr Browder from entering a radio station from which he intended to deliver a speech last night. Three persons were hurt in a scuffle. Air Browder said that he. would protest against “mob violence’’ to Air Roosevelt.
