A workman named Hedwig, employed on the erection of the bridge at the Right-Hand Branch river, Manila road,, fell off the structure yesterday on to the boulders below, a d'istance of about fifteen feet, lauding on his head, and sustained severe injuries to his face and head, his face being badJv cut. He also sustained a severe bruising, but so far as can be ascertained nt present,, no bones were broken. He was taken to Reefton Hospital for treatment..
