In the final game of the Rugby season, Rangers' (Millerton) wore defeated by the narrow margin of two points by Old Boys (Westport/, for the Albion Cup. In the opening stages, Rangers’ forwards took al'l before them, .and Mcßride topped off a great attack by forcing his way over at the corner,, but the effort was not seen by the referee, and a liveyard scrum' resulted. However, the visitors kept up the pressure, and Pox got over. For the opening, parts of the match, Old Boys’ backs came into the picture, and with wiind and sun in the>in favour, launched several dangerous movements), but the defence, playing close up, (was always equal to the

occasion'. However, prior to the change-over, Jost followed up a short punt by Stewart and scored a try which the flatter converted. In the second half,, the honours went to the country team, and they were distinctly unlucky not bo pull /the game outof the fine. Thieir forwards were» in great trim, and had the defence well bustled fight through the' session. However, luck was against them, and they could not improve on their half-tknc. score. The Albion Cup went to Old Boys by the narrow margin of two plaints, bld Boys failed to keep their engagement yesterday at Mi 11 e rjb n for the Ambury Cup* and Rangers with the Seaior Shield will keep the 'trophy for the. next twelve months.
