TRIAL OF MRS. AVES

Illegal Operation Charges (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, October 19. The. re-trial of Isabel Annie Aves, alias C'raike, married, of on charges of unlawfully using an instrument. with intent to procure miscarriage on seven occasions between May, 1935, and June, 1936, at Hastings., commenced at the Supreme Court today. It is expected that the ease- will last three days. Twenty-six witnesses are to be called for the Crown. At the first trial, last August at Napier, the jury failed to agree-, and a change of venue, was granted for the re-tifa].
