At Blackball Mine FALL INTO COAL SCREEN. A' fatality occurred at the Blackball foal Mine Proprietary Co.-npa’i;.- s binns, at Blackball, yesterday afternoon, rhe victim being .Lames 'Wilson Douglas, single, 35 years of age, ami a native of Kirkaldy. Scotland. Deceased, who is o mechanic, in charge of the coal washing machine, was found dead under the revolving screen There was no external injury, but a medical examination disclosed a fractured skull, which was the cause o r death, this injury having being caused when deceased fell into the screen. There was, however, no eye-witnesses to the accident. 'The fatality was discovered by Messrs B. F. Connors and B. ‘.James the last-named applying artificial respiration without success. Dr. H. Hutson was soon on the scene, but could only pronounce life extinct. Deceased, who had r esided in the Dominion for the past twenty years, m survived by one brother, Dlr David Douglas, of Waiuta, .and by his father and sister, who reside in Scotland,

An inquest will be opened at Black ball this afternoon.
