“I LIVE EOR LOVE.” “1 Live For Love,” Warner Bros*, gay comedy romance, is the feature attraction at the Opera House to-day and to-morrow. with Delores Del 'Rio ■and Everett Marshall. the greatest operatic, star in the .stellar roles. The plot has <i most unusual comedy twist, against the background of a radio broadcasting station. There are five catchy original songs sung by -Marshall, famous on the radio, and formerly a member of the -Metropolitan Grand Opera Company. A grand pageant with beautiful girls has been staged as only Busby Berkeley can do it. The pageant also is tilled with comedy events, the players dressing in the costumes of famous characters of history, taking them off in a vein of hilarity. Miss Del Rio plays the part of a South American prima donna, tempestuous and temperamental, who loves -and hates with passion. She thinks she is in love with an actor from her own country, a pait played by Don Alvarado. who drives his producer frant'e. Marshall, ti street singer who, on the radio, eventually becomes the toast of the country, is the rival lover, whom the prima donna thinks she hates. After terrific battles between the two. he sweeps her off her feet and leaves the fiery Latin suitor waiting at the church. Guy K'bbee plays the radio sponsor and Berton Churchill is a stage producer. Both tire driven frantic by the .South American stars, and the devil-may-care street singer in gay scenes. Allen Jenkins and Hobart Cavanaugh add to (.be fun. the former as a hard-boiled press agent; (he latter as a high-brow, ami a “bit-100-sweet.” director of public relations. “PAGE ’M'ISS GLORY.” Marion Davies, Dick Powell and Pat O’Brien, who are probably three of the most popular actors of to-day. are co-starred in “Page Miss Glory” which comes on Wednesday and Thursday to the Opera House.
