Leading professional and amateur golfers engaged in the New Zealand championship, at New 'Plymouth next week, competed hi an open tournament at the week-end. The winner of two medal rounds was 11. P. Dale (amateur. Te Arolia) with 71—68—139. A. JShaw (unattached) was second with 70— 71 —1-11. Other scores were:—J. L. Black (Hutt) 73—69—142; A Murray (unattached) (Shore) 77 —67 —144; N." Bell (North Shore) 69—76—145. (Received October IS. 6.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, October 18Ferrier]. with 281. won the Lakes open champ|ionshi]>. W. Bolger, with 290, was ’second. and Von Nida with 297 third.
