West Coast Centre 30th ANNUAL MEETING. The 30th annual meeting of the West Const Centre. New Zealand Athletic, Cycling, anq Axemen’s Union, was held at the Old Boys’ Club Rooms on Saturday afternoon. There were present: Alessrs G- E. Perkins (president). J. Tennent (treasurer), W. IT. Coumbc (KaroroQ' A. W. Peebles (Ross). J. Reedy (Kumara), J. MeIlrov (St. Patrick’s), J. Flaherty and A. Alessengei (Cycling Club). Apologias were received from Charleston, Ne'.=<m Creek and South AVest'nnd. The president’s annual report, which has already been published, along with the balance sheet was presented fo the meetbig and adopted. General satisfaction was expresseq at the financial pos’ticii. the credit balance being £18!) 9.4 ,2«1. It. was deeded to write to the Minister of Internal Affairs re the proposed aVocafion of dates for various sporting bodiesj, anq ask that Easter Saturday boi set down for ath’etics on the West Coast, as this branch of the sport, had .held that day for years past and had to eontenq with racing in the last i two years. The remcval of Mr Dave Moffatt from this dbitrict was referred to. and regret wa<! uniformly expressed. It was decide to make him a life member in rwf'gnit’.on of his services to so many of the axemen’s clubs during the last 15 or 20 yrtars.
