VALENCIA, October 15. A Red tribunal of Justice, sitting in shirt sleeves, met in solemn conclave to try thirty-five alleged traitors. The tribunal consisted of a Magistrate and fourteen jurors. Of the 35 alleged traitors, only fourteen attended in the flesh. The others were tried in default.

“But they are all dead,” declared a spectator. Nevertheless, nineteen corpses were duly convicted and sentenced to death, but two were acquitted' and the stain on their honour was posthumously erased.
