F.mQeast; Winds south-iwester'y to southerly, moderate to strong generally, and of gale force at places, but decreasing to-morrow. Seas (N.Z. waters); Rough north of Farewell Spit and south of East Gape; elsewhere, moder a 4. e. Eastern Tasman Sen: Fresh to siroug but decreasing .southerly winds prevailing in most ..pa-rts, but freshening easterlies 1 in the far no-rthqrn portion.
Seas rough, 'in the far southern portion; elsewhere, moderate. Weather fair to line on the Wcy<> Coast of the South Island; elsewhere mainly changeable;. with occasional passing showers, heavy at times on the east coast .between Cook Strait ■and ’JEUst Cape; but improving tomorrow, however, in most .distijiets.
