the “New 'York Times” says official? of the Department of Commerce are so impressed by the commercial successes of the Hindenburg that the department is planning an amendment to the 1936 Alaritime Acf to include subsidies for American dirigibles. The Department did not indicate if any private company would be interested in a commercial service on such a basis, but apparently it. believes someone is ready to undertake the venture if Government aid is forthcoming.
