AN IMPROVEMENT FORECAST. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, October 11. The weather report and forecast are as follows.';— GeneiraH situation: Aniother, and apparently the last, of the present series of westerly depressions is crossing the Dominion to-day. An anti-cyclone now extends from Eastern Australia on to the Western Tasman Sea. Forecast: Wunls Avcsterly north of Greymouth and Ka koura; elsewhere, southerly and south-westerly, or souther'y, then extendinng .shortly over the whole Dominion; moderate to strong geneirafly, and of gale, fortee at places south of New Plymouth and Napier; but gradually decreasing. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rather rough to rough ion the, West Coast, and about Cook and Foveaux Straits; elsewhere moderate, but later rising south of East Cape.
