(Received October 11, 7.30 p.m.) SYDNEY,'October IJ. Jim Ferrier won the State close golf champiionship at Manly to-day svith an aggregate of 277. Playing the finest golf in hus career. Ferrier, with a record-smashing round of sixty-two. to-day beat his previous course record by live strokew. Besides being ten under par for the courses, he also s <'t a record for championship go'f on the 6396 yard,s course. Uis card contained ten birdies; including six in a row. V. Richardson finished with an aggregate of 281, h'-s sixty-seven to-day qquall’ing the course record. N. Vonnida and W. Bolger, with 2SB, tied for third. LONDON, October 10. The golfer, Cotton, is returning from Brussels, as professional at Ashridge, with a record salary. He will be available for the Ryder Cup.
