Donald Short, single, aged 57 years, was admitted to the hospital at seven o’clock this evening, in a serious condition. He was suffering from injuries to the back and right leg, which were caused through his being sfruck bv a motor car, driven by a woman. The car swerved at the intersection of IPr'nees Street and Alanor Place, and.' mounted the footpath, where Short’ wag standing.
