BLANKET CLAUSE
DIFFICULTY OVER WAGE RESTORATIONS. ('nh’ISTCTIURCH, September 21. An admission that he was aware of difficulties in t’he appliciition of tho “blanket” clause of the Finance Act, providing for the restoration of wages to the 1931 le\-el, whether workers are covered by awards or not, was made by lion. H. T. Armstrong, Minister of Labour to-day.
“Where it can be applied, if will 'be,” said the Minister. “We knew that the. “blanket” clause would bp pretty dillicult to apply.”
