THE BYE-ELECTION. (Per Presr Association.i AUCKLAND, August 13. A resolution expressing confidence in the National Executive to select a Labour Party candidate for the Manukau seat when Mr Jordan resigns, was carried at a conference of the various branches in the electorate at Onehunga last evening. Mr D. . Wilson, Secretary of the National Executive, who attended, 'stated later that the selection would be made forthwith., and an announcement be made in the next few weeks.
