COBDEN 3; HOKITIKA 1. Over tlie weekend the Cobden Club journeyed to Hokitika to try conclusions with a local combined team. A fast, and interesting game resulted in a win for Cobden by 3 goal:- to one. The Cobden back.- wen- superior to Hokitika backs. The forwards being fairly evenly matched. Cobden led by 2 goals to nil at half time, and during the second spell, the Ilokitka team played improved hockey. Circle play was spoiled to a great extent by heavy deposits of sand which made shooting particularly difficult. The match was witnessed by a large number of spectators. Scorers for Cobden were. M. Eat.well, Weir and .1. Carter. whilst Power netted for Hokitika. The umpires were Messrs S. Fleming and W. Butler.
