George Pinnick, 37. was released from Ballarat Gaol’, by order of the Executive Council, because he made good after his escape. Pinniek escaped from his escort, by leaping from a moving train, at North Creswick, while on the way to gaol to serve twelve months for scaling. He eventually settled in Sydney and prospered, until lie controlled a chain of garages. Tie married six years ago and the first child was born two months before he was re-arrested
