The City’ Council to-day rescinded its resolution relating to th 0 cst-i mates for the current year, and approved of fresh estimates providing for- an addit lOD'al £ll,OOO in the “contingencies” item to meet ad dit'mnal costs which fol’ow the introduction of the forty-hour week and of other conditions under 'the new industrial legislation. The Council also approved of rates yielding £530 09-’. an increase of 175-4005 in the £. CHRISTCHURCH, July 2.
