DANGEROUS DRIVING. WELLINGTON. June 18. A taxi driver, Jarrett, was charge* at Lower Hutt to-day. with driving in a manner dangerous to the public. Jarrett was recently tried in the Su preme Court, for negligent driving, causing the death of two people, and acquitted. The police said Jarrett was married with five children and was now on sustenance. He had suffered a good deal and had said he was finish ed with motor ears. They did not. think a monetary penalty would do much good. Accused was convicted and discharged.
