(Our Own Correspondent.’) Air. Jas. Young, who has been an inmate of the Reefton Hospital for some weeks, as the result of an accident, has returned home, but will be unable to resume his occupation for some weeks. Work was not commenced at the mine until 4 p.m. on .Monday, owing .0 a dispute between the Union and the Companv, over the dismissal of a battery boy, who had been injured. Alter a. conference with the Superintendent, Air. J. Humphreys, the boy was reinstated and work was resumed on the afternoon shift. Ales.-us L. McLennan and W. Churstaia. of the Waiuta Club, have been selected in the Inangahua League representatives to meet Vest Coast at Reefton on the King’s Birthday, June 23rd. Waiuta League juniors drew with Reef ton on Sunday, 14 points all. The game was, as the scores indicate, a keenly contested one. The junior rixtiire for the week-end, is with Junction at Reef ton. AVaratah. seniors meet the local side here on 'Friday, when a thruting game should eventuate.

M'aiuta (2) were defeated by Taylorville (3), after a good exhibition of the Soccer code.

Air. E. Kerridge, who has taken up his residence in Greymouth, was entertained at a complimentary social in the hall on Saturday evening, and was tne recipient of a travelling rug from his Waiuta friends. In making the presentation. Air. J. Rodden made reference to the loss sustained by sport through Air. Kerridge’s departure. His /remarks were endorsed by Al. C. Chandler (vice president Inangahua League Sub-centre), and Mr. J. Harrison (Waiuta Cricket Club). Air. Kerridge suitably responded. Music for the dance was supplied by the Broadway Boys, while Alessrs J. Harrison and P. Flynn had charge of the floor. A dainty supper was served by the committee.
